The synthesis and copper(II) coordination chemistry of bifunctionalized methylthiazolyl tacn based ligands is presented. 64Cu-labeling experiments and in vitro cell tests after conjugation to a bombesin antagonist peptide demonstrate the potential of these bifunctional ligands for radiopharmaceutical development.
